Workplace wellbeing has come increasingly under the public spotlight. Health & Safety guidelines remind employers they have a duty to reduce the incidence of stress at work. Companies benefit from a workforce that is functioning well. However, sometimes people experience problems making it difficult to do this and productivity suffers as a result.
The kinds of problems affecting staff might be: strained relationships in the workplace, overwork, lack of clarity of job role, demanding or impossible schedules, ineffective working practices. Sometimes the problems impacting on work performance may be personal, such as health concerns, a relationship breakdown, bereavement and family worries.
I have substantial experience working with staff from commercial business, including HSBC's In-house Staff Counselling and Mentoring Service. I am also an experienced Counselling Service Manager. At the request of your Company, NPP can provide up to eight sessions of short term counselling for your employees, and where indicated, their partners. Under the scheme, any employee seeking counselling will be offered an appointment, within five working days of making contact.
Most large Employee Assistance Programmes require an annual fee for this service. This can be prohibitive for the smaller business. Under this scheme, you will only be charged per session booked, making this a cost effective way of ensuring the wellbeing of your employees.
